We could tell you about our drying equipment and our written guarantees until we’re both tired of hearing it. But restoration work is visual proof. Either the floor got saved, the mold stayed gone, and the ceiling looks like nothing happened, or it didn’t. The projects below show what actually happens when water, mold, or structural damage hits a San Jose home and our crew gets to work. Names and addresses are withheld for privacy, but every one of these jobs is the kind of thing we handle week in and week out across Santa Clara County.

Dishwasher Supply Line Failure in Willow Glen
Before
AfterA braided supply line under the kitchen sink gave out overnight and flooded the hardwood floor across a first-floor hallway. The water had been sitting for roughly six hours before the homeowner came downstairs. By the time we arrived, the oak flooring was cupping and the subfloor moisture reading was off the chart. We pulled the affected boards, set up professional-grade drying equipment from Dri-Eaz and Phoenix under IICRC standards, and ran psychrometric drying (tracking the air’s moisture level so we know when your home is truly dry, not just surface-dry). The result: the homeowner kept their original flooring, and the repair cost came in thousands less than a full replacement would have.
Bathroom Mold Remediation in Almaden Valley
Before
AfterThis one started as a small dark spot on the ceiling below an upstairs bathroom. The homeowner called a handyman first, who painted over it. Two months later, the spot was back and bigger. When we opened the drywall, we found mold in the wall cavity feeding off a slow shower-valve leak that had been dripping inside the wall for close to a year. We contained the area with negative air pressure, removed the affected drywall and insulation under RIA guidelines, treated the framing with antimicrobial product, and treated the framing with a sealant designed to resist future growth. The bathroom looks new, but more importantly, the moisture source is fixed. A paint-over would have just bought the mold another few months.
Water Heater Rupture in Evergreen
Before
AfterA 50-gallon water heater in a garage utility closet failed catastrophically while the homeowners were at work. The water ran through the wall into an adjoining family room and hallway. Our crew extracted standing water the same day, then set XPOWER air movers and a Phoenix dehumidifier to pull moisture from the drywall and the slab. Because it was a Category 1 water loss from a clean source, we were able to salvage the carpet and pad in the family room. The baseboards and lower drywall came out, got replaced, and were painted to match. Total dry-out time: four days. The homeowner paid exactly what the written price said before we started, which included dry-out, demo, and rebuild.
Roof Leak Ceiling Collapse in Rose Garden

During a heavy December storm, a failed flashing detail around a roof vent let water pour into an upstairs bedroom. The homeowner heard the ceiling let go around 3 a.m. It’s not a fun sound. When we arrived, the room was covered in wet plaster, old insulation, and a puddle that had already started seeping into the carpet. We removed the failed ceiling material, dried the joists and wall cavities with Injectidry and B-Air equipment, then rebuilt the ceiling, reinsulated, and matched the existing texture. The owner’s insurance covered the loss, and we provided photo documentation and direct coordination with the adjuster throughout. The ceiling looks like it was never touched.
Washing Machine Overflow in Japantown Condo

A stacked washer unit in a second-floor Japantown condo overflowed while the owner was out running errands. Water ran across the kitchen floor, under the range, and down through the floor assembly into the unit below. Condo water losses are tricky because you’re not just drying your own space; you’re coordinating with the HOA and the neighbor downstairs. We set up containment in both units, dried the floor cavity from above and below, and replaced the damaged engineered wood planks in the kitchen with a matching product. The HOA appreciated that our technicians were uniformed, background-checked, and showed up with a live arrival time the property manager could track.
Appliance Leak Behind Refrigerator in Berryessa

The ice-maker line behind a refrigerator had been weeping for weeks, and because it was hidden behind the appliance, the homeowner never saw it. By the time the water reached the visible part of the kitchen floor, the laminate planks had already started to swell and separate. We pulled the fridge, removed the damaged flooring, dried the subfloor to a target moisture content, and installed replacement laminate that matched the existing floor. The wall behind the appliance got new drywall and primer. This is also a good reminder to check the connection behind your fridge at least once a year. A $15 braided line can prevent a multi-thousand-dollar floor repair.
